In line with the Global clamor to go green (i.e. using renewable energy as alternative source of energy) and to support Ontario’s Renewable Energy Feed-In Tariff (FIT) Program, CSI has made an Agreement with OZZ Solar Inc. for a 20-year lease for CSI buildings’ rooftops to be installed with solar panels. The solar power to be generated out of the rooftops of the two buildings was estimated to be about 450 Kw.
Stan Muthulingam, Co-Chairman and Chief Executive, CSI, signed off on the Agreement early part of this year, 2010 and hopefully the project will soon be realized in the first half of 2011.
Furthermore, in the course of CSI’s daily operations as a service company, defective Lithium batteries, mixed printed circuit boards and components are being accumulated. These defective electronic materials are sent to Electronics Recycling Services (ERS-International) for destruction. ERS-International provides CSI with a certification every time destruction is being done.
